Qualifications
Access-A-Ride Vehicle Operators must meet the following requirements:
- Valid New York State (NYS) Commercial Driver’s License(CDL) with a Passenger Endorsement;
- Unrestricted license in effect for three (3) years;
- Minimum age of 21 years;
- NYSVTL Article 19a and 15 NYCRR Part 6 of the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) regulations, including the physical examination requirements
AAR Vehicle Operators must NOT have any of the following:
- More than four (4) points accumulated within three (3) years immediately preceding employment or any of three (3) years thereafter
- A conviction for driving any vehicle while impaired or intoxicated within five (5) years immediately preceding employment or at any time thereafter
- Any punitive suspension or revocation of license during the three (3) years immediately preceding employment or at any time thereafter
- Three (3) or more moving violations within the three (3) years immediately preceding employment or during any three (3) contiguous years thereafter
- Three (3) or more at fault accidents within the three (3) years immediately preceding employment or during any three (3) contiguous years thereafter
- Any violation issued in connection with an accident within the three (3) years immediately preceding employment or at any time thereafter
- Pending moving violation
- Other AAR Vehicle Operator qualifications:*
- Satisfactory results from a drug and alcohol test administered in accordance with FTA regulations
- Satisfactory results from a NYS Department of Criminal Justice Services’ fingerprint check
- Able to speak, read and write the English language
- Able to read maps
- General familiarity with the five boroughs of New York City
Dispatcher
Mechanic
Years of Experience: 2 – 5 Years
Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager)
Education Level: Certification
Seeking assertive individual with knowledge of repairing and servicing diesel buses and sedans. Candidate must be knowledgeable in working with Ford E350’s, Toyota Camry’s and MV1’s. Candidate should have experience working with Ford Scanning Equipment and 6.0L Diesel’s. DOT experience preferred but not required.

Clerical
Years of Experience: 1 – 2 Years
Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager)
MS Office Excel & Word proficiency, Data Entry, 10 key, & filing.
Seeking candidate with an administrative history; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; attention to detail; has strong verbal & written communication skills.
Quality Control
Years of Experience: Varies
Career Level: Entry Level
Duties: Maintain the appearance of a vehicle fleet, company grounds, fueling protocols, log books, among other duties. Applicant must endure working in all weather conditions.
Satisfactory results from a drug and alcohol test administered in accordance with FTA regulations
Road Supervisor
Salary: $25.00 per hour
Years of Experience: 1-2 Years. Previous Supervisory experience is a must.
Career Level: High School or equivalent
Requirements:
- Valid New York State CDL Class C License (or higher), with a Passenger Endorsement.
- Unrestricted license in effect for three (3) years
- CDL Class C Driver applicants must pass fingerprint check, physical, drug and alcohol test, and be at least 21 years of age
- Supervisory Experience a must
- Retired Law Enforcement / Corrections a plus
Duties:
- Operate vehicles in a safe, courteous, and reliable manner
- Conducts on-the-scene incident/accident investigation; assists drivers in preparing accident reports, and safety violations documents.
- Observes drivers on the road and corrects safety problems on the scene while documenting violations.
- Maintains all required 19A Certifications
- May assist in the boarding of passengers using wheelchairs or other mobility aids and properly secure wheelchairs.
